Black met Blum at university from where they both graduated with degrees in design for industry. In the begining funds were tight, so keeping simple meant 'no tooling costs'. Launching four minimal yet innovative and entertaining lights at 100% Design in 2000, the response was exceptional. the future was mapped, Black+Blum = product designers.
