from the 13 september our central london store plays host to a variety of work from established - growing in success, designers that include andrew tanner, thelermont hupton and pulpo, who create and produce functional, original and beautiful home space accessories and furniture. lifestylebazaar will be creating three zones positioning new products and showing the evolution of new ideas.
“ with london design festival running parallel with 100% design and tent, given current market unpredictability plus the autumn retail trade shows – we challenge designers ability to balance new ideas with making a commercial success ” says chris curtis, co founder of lifestylebazaar. “we’re independent retailers and want to maintain our niche in the market place, but we have to balance that with our own (and our designers) commercial success.”
“it’s great visiting salone satellite at milan – really amazing ideas, but as a designer also I want to know at what level the idea is going to be pitched” says co-founder-partner laurent nurisso. “It’s frustrating for me if a designer has not thought that through –i need to feel confident that the ideas have a development plan beyond just one or two initial ideas. not so much about a new design as just a show piece, but more about a product that can be produced, purchased and enjoyed by the public - and that’s the true challenge.”
